a. Many Americans were eager to make U.S. bigger
B. Lewis and Clark
a. 1804-1806 went from Missouri to Pacific Ocean
b. Jefferson named their group the “Corps of Discovery” since they would learn about Louisiana Territory
C. Back to St. Louis – 1806
a. Lewis and Clark Trail named in honor of their expedition
